About Dr. Sikora and Our Integrative Medicine Practice

Dr. Alita Sikora, MD, is a board-certified physiatrist who has practiced in Vero Beach since 2007. Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is the specialty focused on restoring function and treating pain in the bones, muscles, joints, and nervous system, most often without surgery. She pairs that training with regenerative and integrative approaches, treating chronic pain and joint conditions alongside hormone optimization, medical weight loss, and aesthetics.

She grew up in the Northeast (NJ and CT) and opened her Vero Beach practice in July 2017 to take a more personalized approach to each patient. Before that, she practiced both inpatient rehabilitation medicine and outpatient Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She continues to hold inpatient privileges at Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital and has served as Medical Director for a sub-acute rehabilitation hospital.

The practice combines conventional and integrative care under one roof: pain management including joint injections, shockwave therapy, and acupuncture; regenerative medicine including PRP and orthobiologics; hormone optimization and wellness including bioidentical hormone therapy and IV therapy; medical weight loss; and aesthetics.

It means combining Dr. Sikora’s PM&R training with additional education in Ayurvedic medicine, physician acupuncture, bioidentical hormones, PRP, and medical weight loss. Care may also consider sleep, nutrition, hormones, and lab findings alongside your symptoms.

They overlap but are not identical. Physiatrists train in the full scope of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, which encompasses function and mobility as well as pain, and often treat conditions without surgery.

The provider depends on the service or procedure. According to the practice’s team information, Rochine Pierre, PA-C, performs ultrasound-guided joint injections, trigger point injections, and medical Botox.
