Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) is a naturally occurring coenzyme involved in cellular energy metabolism and other biological processes. IV NAD+ therapy administers a compounded NAD+ preparation directly into the bloodstream through an intravenous line.
Although NAD+ has important biological functions, this does not establish that intravenous NAD+ improves energy, cognition, recovery, or healthy aging. Clinical evidence for IV NAD+ wellness treatments remains limited, and compounded IV NAD+ is not FDA-approved to treat a specific medical condition.

Researchers have studied NAD+-related compounds because NAD+ participates in cellular metabolism. However, evidence that IV NAD+ improves fatigue, focus, metabolism, athletic recovery, or healthy aging remains limited.
A 2026 systematic review found no eligible clinical-outcomes trials evaluating intravenous or intramuscular NAD+ itself for anti-aging or wellness indications. It concluded that the clinical effectiveness of NAD+-boosting approaches for these purposes remains inconclusive, particularly for treatments administered by injection or infusion.
Patients should understand this uncertainty and discuss established evaluation and treatment options for their symptoms before deciding whether to pursue IV NAD+ therapy.
IV NAD+ Therapy may be used for:
May support cellular energy production for improved stamina and vitality.
May support mitochondrial function, which some patients associate with sharper focus and mental clarity.
May support pathways involved in resilience and mood balance.
May aid cellular repair and help counter age-related declines in energy and recovery.
May support muscle repair and metabolic efficiency during training or recovery.
May help replenish NAD+ levels that influence overall immune and metabolic function.
We use IV NAD+ therapy to support patients seeking enhanced energy, cognition, recovery, and long-term cellular health.
NAD+ is an essential coenzyme found in every cell of the body, playing a key role in energy production. IV NAD+ therapy administers this nutrient directly into the bloodstream, bypassing digestion and allowing for higher cellular availability.
During the infusion, NAD+ circulates throughout the body, where it may assist cellular repair processes, support mitochondrial health, and enhance cognitive and physical energy.
NAD+ infusions are generally well tolerated, but a few considerations can help you prepare for treatment.

IV NAD+ therapy is administered in our Vero Beach office by our IV therapy team. The process typically includes:
We review your symptoms, health history, and goals to determine an appropriate treatment plan.
An IV line is placed, and the NAD+ solution is prepared for your infusion.
NAD+ is administered slowly to support comfort and tolerance throughout treatment.
Infusion time depends on the dose. Our 500 mg infusion takes approximately four hours, while our 2,000 mg infusion takes approximately 12 hours.
Most patients can resume normal activities afterward, although temporary fatigue may occur.
We may recommend a series of infusions based on your goals, response, and ongoing needs.

Responses to IV NAD+ therapy vary based on individual needs.
Typical timeline:
IV NAD+ therapy may be appropriate for adults who have:
We will review your health history, symptoms, and goals to determine whether IV NAD+ therapy is a safe and effective option for you.

Our IV NAD+ care combines experienced clinical support, personalized protocols, and clear guidance throughout treatment.
What sets us apart:

Our wellness program blends multiple integrative therapies, which may include:

Sikora Integrative Medicine offers IV NAD+ therapy in Vero Beach, including 500 mg and 2000 mg infusions and NAD injections. Treatments are provided in the IV lounge and coordinated by Amber, RN, with physician-led care from Dr. Alita Sikora, MD. Services are available to Florida residents.
It depends on the dose. Our 500 mg infusion runs about four hours and our 2000 mg infusion runs about twelve.
Most people feel flushing, warmth, or chest tightness at some point, and some experience nausea or headache. These sensations are dose and rate related rather than dangerous, and they usually ease within minutes when the infusion is slowed. Tell your nurse if you feel uncomfortable and the rate can be adjusted.
Most patients start with a short series of infusions, then move to periodic maintenance based on how they respond. The interval is set during your consultation rather than fixed in advance.
IV delivery bypasses digestion, so absorption is not limited by gut uptake. Whether that produces a difference you notice depends on the individual, and it is one of the things we discuss during your consultation.
NAD+ is offered at two dose levels, with current pricing published on our IV therapy page.
Most individuals can resume their normal activities, but some prefer to take a brief rest before driving.
Most insurance plans do not cover IV NAD+. Financing through M Lend Financial is available.
If you are exploring IV NAD+ therapy for energy, focus, recovery, or healthy aging support, Sikora Integrative Medicine can help you review your goals and determine whether treatment may be appropriate for you. Our team can also discuss available infusion or injection options and what to expect from your plan.
Financing through M Lend Financial is available for eligible services.
